You have decided to apply to The Ohio State University's School of Communication, one of the most prestigious schools of communication in the world. Please follow these guidelines to successfully submit your online application:
Make sure that you have fulfilled the pre-major requirements. (NOTE: If you are currently enrolled in pre-major courses, you will be able to apply once your final grades are posted for the semester.)
Complete the online application. The brief application form should take only a few minutes to complete. You will need the following information to complete the application:
- Email address
- Grades in pre-major courses
- Cumulative credit hours
- Cumulative grade point average
- First and second choice area of study
- Age, Gender, Ethnicity (for statistical purposes only)
In general, the online application is available beginning the 10th week of the preceding term and will close the Wednesday after grades are posted for the preceding term. This means that students will be able to receive their admissions decision before the term for which they have applied actually starts. For instance, the spring application will be due by the Wednesday after grades are posted for autumn term. Please refer to Important Dates for exact deadlines.
