Our program equips students with the practical and analytical skills and knowledge related to communication principles--how to understand audiences, shape messages and interact with individuals and technologies, as well as the power and influence of communication on society.
The School of Communication offers four main Undergraduate Program focus areas: Communication Analysis and Practice, New Media and Communication Technology, Public Affairs Journalism, and Strategic Communication.

Major Information Sessions
Students interested in majoring in communication or journalism should attend a Major Information Session. These sessions are designed to provide information about the majors offered in the School of Communication. Overviews of each major program will be given, plus information about pre-major coursework and the application process. Career information, internship for credit, and undergraduate research experience information will also be discussed. Students should attend a major information session before scheduling an individual advising appointment with a School of Communication advisor.
