School Hosts German Researcher
Dr. Michael Scharkow, a research associate from the University of Hohenheim in Germany, will be spending the next month with the School of Communication advancing his research on digital communication, video gaming and statistical methods. He will join Professor Andrew Hayes in a research project on complex mediation and moderation analyses.
Scharkow earned his doctorate in communication at the University of the Arts, Berlin. His dissertation was on automatic content analysis and machine learning. He is currently senior researcher in a project funded by the European Union on the social foundations of online gaming.
