Concept

This is an abstract Flash interface to the different projects that students are assigned in a visual communication course. Each of the icons is a button that will lead to the project of the week. The icons are cut-outs from a class website created by Jessica, one of my students.

 

Extension

While it is important to keep the interface gimmicks to a minimum in order to maximize usability, occasionally there is room for some exploration. Especially, if the website is intended to be a rich experience, take advantage of the freedom to think outside the box.
