Concept

While experimenting with slideshows to illustrate design processes to my students, I discovered that the presentation of the process itself can be a form of creative expression. Encouraged by this finding, I tried a series of projects that I have named Transitions. Most of the projects in Transitions are animated in Flash, although a few are animated GIFs created with ImageReady from Adobe. The key frames are digital images or graphics created in Illustrator or PhotoShop.

 

Extension

Throughout this site, I have tried to offer tips on how tansitions can be extended by experimenting with tools available in popular software applications. Over time projects created by students will be showcased. Currently, the design of the site, the graphics, digital images, and all the animated projects are my own work.
