Repeating lines and patterns are common characteristics of skyscrapers. In many of these shots, repeating vertical and horizontal lines add drama to the photograph. The purpose of this project is to show that by simply looking up through the lens of a basic digital camera it is easy to capture the rhythm of a city. It is perhaps this experience of the rhythm of the city that inspired Mondrian to paint his Broadway Boogie Woogie. On a cloudy day in Chicago, on a school trip to the windy city, Danielle took these photos with a Canon PowerShot A70 Digital. The images were digitally spruced up using levels adjustments in Photoshop by Prabu. Although some of these photos could use some cropping, I chose not to alter Danielle's original composition.
