Profile
My research and teaching interests are in the areas of interpersonal and health communication. My research program is focused on understanding how interpersonal communication influences health disparities among medically underserved and under-researched populations. Currently, I am working on projects that address intergenerational communication within rural families about the HPV vaccine and substance use. I currently teach classes in the School on health communication in interpersonal and mediated contexts as well as social influence.
